This Mayan Copador Bowl consists of a cream slip.  Top exterior of bowl features a repeating animal face with a curved Chac style nose possibly depicting the rain god.  Below there are four active monkeys divided by a reddish brown spot.  Encircling the orange flower on the bottom inside of the bowl there is a repeated design, glyph, or pseudo glyph of eight symbols.  Multiple tones of brownish red to orange with black lines throughout.  Intact condition with mineral deposits and wear attesting to the age of this piece.  The bowl measures an amazing 8 1/2 inches wide, 3 1/2 inches tall.  Provenance; Southwest private collection.
