Mayan frog vessel measuring approximately 7 inches in length, 6 inches in width, 3 1/4 inches in height.  Base of bowl decorated on each side with dual priests, perhaps a depiction of the Hero Twins.  Front and rear include dual images of pseudo glyphs.  Topped with a well developed frog sculpture.  Highly realistic face with spotted body.  Crowned with a raised rim opening circumfrenced by pseudo glyphs.  Colors form pumpkin to a deep red with black used for outlining and decorating.  Mineralized with minor fading and scuffing.  Intact and unrestored.  In beautiful condition.  Provenance; Southwest private collection.
