Mayan Tripod Bowl

This small vessel is a raised bowl on three looped feet.  Measures approximately 2 3/4 inches tall, 4 1/4 inches wide.  Contains remnants of red paint on rim and base of bowl, incised diamond patterns around exterior of bowl, and three animals continuing around exterior of bowl and at the top of each leg of the bowl (could be either an abstract decoration or the representation of an animal).  There is a chip to one of the legs and minor abrasions.  Overall in good shape.  Provenance; acquired in Yucatan, MX in early 60s, last sold through Neal Auction Company.
