A fine pair of Moche earplugs intricately assembled from shell and semi-precious stone.  Each earplug portrays a warrior or priest in motion carrying a fish in one hand and a kero in the other.  The figures each wear an earplug and hat and are adorned in detailed clothing.  Measures approximately 3 3/8 inches around, 3 1/4 inches in length.  Cloth rope still attached to back of earplugs.  Heavily encrusted in minerals with signs of red cinnabar.  Custom stand included.  Absolutely magnificent.  Provenance; private Midwest collection.
