This is a solid bodied Nayarit figure featuring red slip with cream and black accents.  The piece has a unique and large protruding nose with no eyes or mouth exhibited.  The figure features a turban,  ear spools, collared neck, and skirted bottom with arched feet.  Plentiful mineral deposits attest to the age of this piece dating to circa 200 BCE to 200 CE.  This figure measures approximately 7 inches tall X 4 1/2 inches wide.  Provenance; Bonhams & Butterfields.
