This pair of unusually large copper ear ornaments authenticated by the distinguished expert Robert Sonin are structured so the elongated shafts bear the ornament instead of the outer end.  The shafts were crafted with stacked rows of an identical open pattern design of paired spirals in continuing rows circling the circumference.  Measures 3 1/2 inches tall, 1 7/8 inches wide.  Minor surface erosion as well as minor losses.  Circa 700 to 1500 Common Era.  Provenance; Charles Craig of Santa Barbara.
